In the months of June and July, the second main harvesting
season, the so-called summer picking, takes place. Both the taste
and the appearance of the teas have now changed considerably.
In contrast to the first flush, buds and tips are not green, but
silvery or golden brown. The cup colour varies from coppery gold
to rusty brown. High quality, mature teas from this picking season
are very flavoursome and slightly nutty in taste.

Organic Darjeeling Second Flush
FTGFOP1 Ambootia
– Black Tea Organic –
As one of the first plantations, the
garden Ambootia converted to organic
cultivation a long time ago and shines
with its consistently high-quality teas

the best climatic conditions and gently
processed. The result is a tea with a
highly flavourful, delicately nutty taste,
a subtle spicy note and a delicious aroma
as well as a particularly beautiful cup
colour, which ranges from copper gold to
reddish brown and is pleasing to the eye.

Darjeeling Second Flush
FTGFOP1 House Blend
– Black Tea –
This balanced blend of second flush teas
from selected tea gardens produces a
strong, aromatic flavour and a nut-brown
cup colour. A number of smaller tea
gardens produce only small quantities of
second flush teas. Moreover, these are
quite individual single lots with typical
flavour characteristics, influenced by the
prevailing weather conditions during the
growth of the tea bushes. To be able to
offer you these excellent teas in consistent quality, we have composed this
smooth, full-bodied house blend for you.
