SCENTED GREEN TEAS
Green teas enhanced with flowers are not only a typical Chinese
speciality, but also the forerunner of flavoured teas. Freshly
picked blossoms are added to the unfermented, dried green tea.
These are repeatedly removed in further working processes and
replaced by fresh blossoms until the desired degree of fragrance
is achieved. During this process, the delicate green tea takes on
the fine scent of the blossoms in a gentle and natural way. For
particularly high-quality varieties, this process is repeated more
often so that the fragrance is much more pronounced. By the
way: the amount of blossoms still visible in the finished tea says
nothing about the intensity of the floral note, because often the
blossoms remain in the tea rather for an attractive appearance.
In some high-quality teas, the petals are removed as completely
as possible, leaving behind what appears to be a pure green tea,
but which surprises with a very pleasant, intense fragrance and
flavour.

China Jasmin Dragon Phoenix Pearl
– Green Tea –
These small jasmine pearls are a noted
Chinese green tea speciality. Only the
youngest and most delicate tea leaves
are mixed several times with freshly
picked, intensely fragrant jasmine
blossoms, which are then removed
again. Then the fragrant leaves are rolled
by hand into small, firm pearls. This
encloses the jasmine scent and allows its delicious fragrance and flavour
to unfold only after infusion. Its light amber cup colour and aroma are
simply wonderful. A real pleasure for the eyes, the nose and the palate!
Ingredients: green tea, parts of jasmine flowers
