The better part of the green tea produced worldwide comes from
China, the motherland of tea. Unlike black teas, green teas are not
fermented. Their leaf colour ranges from light green to a silvery
sheen to a dark emerald green. Usually, the cup colour is rather
light. Depending on the variety and preparation, the taste varies
from slightly harsh or tart to pleasantly sweet and aromatic.
As a general rule, green teas should not be prepared with boiling
hot water, but the water should be allowed to cool down to
